More than anything else, Casimir is a close quarters combatant. Extraneous weapons tend to get in the way of his natural agility, so he likes to rely on his hands/claws more than anything else.

Being someone who is so...prone...to injury, Casimir carries healing poultices, s alves, bandages/etc. on his person more often than not. Since he's a very active person, wounds can open at any time and it's better to be prepared than stuck bleeding all over the place with no recourse.

rations

A small bundle of trail rations to be carried on his person while working. It may take days or weeks to track down particularly slippery outlaws, and so it never hurts to have extra food/water on hand.

shapeshifting: amur leopard

Casimir is an animalistic type of strain. While he is naturally humanoid, he has the ability to morph into a large cat, though even when he is not shapeshifted, his ears and tail mark him as a strain. His entire body can contort and change until he occupies the shape of an Amur Leopard. When in this animal form, he reaches 2.5 feet tall at the shoulder, measures approximately 6 feet long (including tail), and weighs ~106lbs. While in this form he can can clock up to 35mph in short bursts. He can also leap about twenty feet horizontally and nine feet vertically, and has a very powerful maw with a strong bite force, measuring up to 300-500~ PSI.



However, this full-body shapeshifting is extremely energy intensive to accomplish, and is also a rather painful process to endure, as his joints, bones, etc. pop and shift to rearrange themselves into his new form. Therefore, it is something reserved for serious work only, as it's not something he can do on the fly, since it would leave him vulnerable in any combat situation.



Instead, for impromptu combat, he tends to rely on simpler shapeshifting, e.g. morphing his nails into talons/claws for hand-to-hand fighting.

Aura Manipulation: Scrying

Utilizing his natural strain talents and the power of the Blue Clan, Casimir can manifest his aura into a small, mirror-like surface, which he can use to perceive the aura trails of those who have most recently passed through an area. This is best used in less-frequented spaces, as if the area is too populated, the colors are too muddied for him to discern which trail leads where. When scrying, each person's aura trail appears as a small, wispy line of color.



This ability requires concentration, and is not something Casimir can multitask with. He needs to focus on the manipulation of his aura to create the scrying mirror -- anything that catches his attention outside of that will interrupt the process and cause him to have to start over.

longbow & arrows

Despite being instructed in the art of wielding a sword, valère found solace in the precision of archery, preferring to utilize the bow and strike from a distance. the distance granted him the opportunity to avoid bloodshed, which he appreciated, and in his own mind, a properly aimed arrow caused less agony than numerous wounds from an inexperienced blade.

silver staff

As a healer, valère decided to utilize a staff as his signature weapon when forced into close combat. he felt that bladed weapons spelled trouble, so he vowed against utilizing one. plus he can use his staff as an aid in walking if needed.

MEDICAL POUCH

Due to his trade, valère does not feel comfortable traveling without a collection of various herbs and herbal concoctions, and the pouch itself served the test of time. he refuses to part from the ragged bag and continues to mend it whenever he spots a hole or imperfection.

white cloak

In order to hide his features, valère purchased a hooded cloak, and unlike many cloaks, it is a snowy white color and shrouds his entire figure, basically dragging along the ground due to val’s somewhat lacking height. fur is placed around the hood and edges of the cloak with faint blue lines crawling up the cloak from the bottom. the signature of the cloak, however, is the sapphire embedded clasp, which valère received from astor on his deathbed.

gravity dispersion

As a member of the silver clan, valère can manipulate gravity; however, his version of altering gravity is very isolated. he creates a bubble around himself that makes potential threats heavier, granting him the opportunity to flee or successfully obtain the herbs that caught his eye. he rarely utilizes his skill in gravity manipulation for combat and tends to display himself as an incompetent fighter.

healer's touch

Unlike his king who can synchronize his aura with other beings and can temporarily alter the aura of people, valère cannot do so; however, he learned how to manipulate his aura to ease the process of healing. due to years of experimentation, his control of his aura cannot be surpassed, allowing him to act with precision. his healer’s touch ability is basically turning his aura into needles and utilizing it to assist him in precision oriented tasks (i.e. lock picking, stitches, and so on).
