TACTLESS SWORD
TRUE NEUTRAL ● KING ● BLUE CLAN
TRUE NEUTRAL ● KING ● BLUE CLAN
Born and bred within the city of Ble his life was pretty easy to say the least. Many upon viewing him in his later years would believe him to be from a long line of fishermen and pirates. However, this is partly true while the other is completely false. Linny was born to the noble family of Lore, a well to do family that helped in exporting and importing goods. The announcement of their first born child was the talk of the town and his twin brother as well. Everyone seemed to be pleased with his their but it didn't take long for people to inquire upon who his father could be. That was when things got a tid bit hairy, his father was far beyond Noble birth. In fact, he would be what most considered to be trash. His father was born and breed in the city of Lila. At a young age he took to the seas believing it to be more exciting then life on land. It was too and by the time he reached adulthood he was a full blown pirate, a criminal. Now how he meet his mother was never clear but he would always get the same story of meeting the fine man on the docks one fateful night and loved him ever since. Of course, the origin of his birth have little to do with the rest of his life. Sure, he was often teased and picked on growing up with the knowledge of his father living on the high seas and causing trouble. The son of a criminal and a whore of a noble mother. He heard those words often and always changed their tune with a fist to the face. His mother would always tell him that it mattered very little on how people viewed them and to just let it roll. For his mothers sake, he let it roll for a while but would always end up resulting to someone losing a tooth. Education was simple and boring to the young man and the only exciting memory he could remember was eight years old, when his father returned to port. It was exciting as his mother would sneak him and his other out to see their wanted father. Surprisingly, he was as pleasant as could be around his family. He showed a great care for his young sons. Linny was only able to see his father once a year and each year he looked forward to it. He learned a great deal about fishing, the open waters, and a code of pirates that would remain with him. This code portrayed a sense of justice, equal rights and shares, and not turn a sword on a fellow crew member. He took these ideals and twisted them to suit him to his needs. Each year he learned something new from sword play to rigging up to survive harsh areas. At the age of ten, he excelled at duel wielding and was further taught the art of handling two weapons and alternating to one or both with ease. Footing became a routine dance maneuver. But lessons went on and so did life. His father would only be on shore for a week and sometimes provided that city had forgotten him. Life was just that way. One moment he had his father and then the next he was gone again. The rumors would return and so would the hateful looks of those around him. But with each goodbye, his father left him a gift and this time both he and his brother was given a golden loop earring from their father, a patching pair. Time moved on as did the waves of the sea that carried messages from Johnathan to his family by bird. It was always sweet messages and never spoke violence but upholding equal rights among others. In Linny's eyes his father was an angel even though he knew what a pirate was he couldn't see them as anything but balance. Some were bad, some were good, and others upheld justice and that is what he would do later in life. Then came one night that would change the boys perspective of the wonderful world he shared with his brother. He was well aware of hate but he never fully understand stood it or the violence of others. It was the night his father was to return to port for a short visit and as always he looked forward to it. But the air was different that night and his mother kept the boys inside while she starred out their window in horror. Without the boys knowledge, there had a been a string of unruly crimes happening including a few murders. No one could figure out who was doing it but when a ship pulled into port who better to blame? The boat that belong to his father was left out in sea and only a handful of members came with him on a spare to visit those they cared for in the city. It didn't take long for the town folks to overrun them. It took even less time to take their life at the gallows. He and his brother where locked in their rooms and his mother witnessed the death of her lover who was innocent of the crimes he was charged with that night. He was nothing more then a scapegoat. But at his death the crimes suddenly stopped and life returned to a sad normal life. There was no more night meetings at the port. No more lessons, stories, or good times. His childhood died with his father and he grew up sooner then he should. Putting on his big boy pants with a grieving mother and a brother that was as lost as he, he tired to step up in his Dad's place in the family. He continued his training with the locals who his mother asked to teach him and his brother. They were of noble blood and best act like it and bring their heads back to earth. The two boys where shown around to other noble families, shaking hands, going to parties and just being one hell of a nuisance. This was not the life Linny wanted. He could careless about the parties, learning to dance, and being a stuck up teenager. He wanted to go out on the seas, fight, and bring about balance. As a noble he couldn't do that. Nobles weren't allowed to get their hands dirty. At the age of twelve he rebelled against the social norm. He went out to do what he wanted. He skipped lessons, wondered among the people, drank a little bit and learned to be street savvy much to his mothers disapproval. Linny didn't care for the home life now that his mother had remarried as it was unfit for a noble woman to raise two boys on her on anymore. Linny didn't care for their step father who was fat, lazy, and overall annoying. Linny wanted out of this life and into another especially after being approached and told his last name would be changed to his Step-Fathers. Linny refused to do such a thing and found it disgraceful. But he had little say in the matter. This would soon change, Linny refused to stay in a home anymore with this fat pompous wind bag that his mother married due to her own fathers wishes. He would leave this town and his family to live the way he wished, like his father. He went to his room that same night and threw his belongings into a single bag and went to his brother, asking him to come with him. They could leave this life and do what they wanted. No more would they have to listen and deal with the fat man. But his brother shook his head with hesitation. They could not just up and leave their mother like that. She loved them too much and that feeling was mutual. But if his brother wanted freedom, he had an idea. He told Linny about the Blue Clan he had heard of, if they could find them and join them...then maybe Linny could stay and find his place he was looking for to fit in. Hesitantly, Linny agreed and by the next morning they went in search of the Clan and failed. For a two months they haunted but without luck and at the moment of giving up the Clan found them. It was at that moment they meet the King and allowed them to join as he saw some talent to the young twins. From then on, Linny stayed in Ble like his brother had wanted and the two trained together. They furthered themselves in skills and seemed to excel at the new found gift the King had given them. Their mother was thrilled to hear that they where taken into Blue but their Step Father huffed at it and called it shameful. But the boys ignored them and with their mothers blessing, they left the family estate and to find their own place. As they left and kissed their mother goodbye, Linny flew the bird to the fat man and left with the announcement his last name would now be Lupin, in honor of his father. The clan was their new home and life. Linny continued to excel and was soon the Kings right hand. But as the years past another sadness would come into their lives. The King past away during the night from reasons unknown but many believed it to be old age. Linny would inhereit his power and raise as the new King to the Blue Clan. At first it was a shock to his system but it didn't take long for him to adjust to it. It was like it was natural for him to be in this position and he brought the Clan to a new beginning. He forged them to become even more honorable and uphold justice, as well as to remain netural until the people needed them or other clans. They would take no sides but their own. At last, Linny felt free and at home. Here he could further his fathers ideals, his past Kings and finally his won. He respected each man and he received theirs on equal ground. His twin became his support when things became tough or decisions difficult. Too bad his twin couldn't save him from personal love mistakes. Linny was known among his men and women to be an open lover. He often would date or take on more then one person at a time. Maybe it was a habit he took from the past King just like he did smoking like a train. It was uncertain but his brother believed it was just him coming out finally as his own person. Of course, those involved with him knew he was a grasshopper and charmed many but there was always that one jealous individual who didn't like sharing. Unfortunately, one of these types landed in Linny's circle. He paid the price for it as well. One would think that talking would solve any issue but it seemed that was not the case with this love, the jealousy was too much and during a heated argument Linny lost his left eye. His lover took Linny's own dagger from his belt and sliced his eye wide open. The would remain but forever damaged and unusable. He know wears an eye patch since the age of twenty-five. His brother sometimes makes fun of him about it while Linny tries to come out with a creative story if it suits him on how he lost his eye. Now at age thirty-three and having been King since he as nineteen, he keeps his clan in line and often listens to other clans that might come to him to pick a side or solve matters. The same goes for the people of the area. But be warned, those that push his buttons or tip the scales of balance will find the King on their doorstep with a word or warning and at times with a sword in hand. If the balance can not be restored without bloodshed, then the King will make sure to spill that blood to restore it. | TIMELINE Age 8, -Meets father for first time. -Learned the Pirates Code and Honor. Snowy River - Twin Blades Ironically, much like himself he owns a pair of twin blades. One is ebony in color named River, the other is white named Snow. The two blades form a single long sword but when taken a part they form two separate long daggers. Making this weapon efficient for both two handed and one handed combat. | Throwing darts On his right arm he keeps a leather wrap tied to it, inside this wrap is a numerous amount of throwing darts that he uses to strike a person with. They do little physical damage but make great conduits for his abilites. |
An old golden earring Amongest his piercing, he wears a simple golden hoop earring that matches to his brothers. This was the last gift he received from his father before he was hung. | Tobacco pouch and paper Linny is quite the smoker and carries a pouch of tobacco with him everywhere he goes. Just pray to god he doesn't run out of it anytime soon. |
Intermission When this ability is put into motion a faint blue aura spreads out around the King and branches out to whatever distance he desires, however he can only effect as many as four people at one time. To move on to another person beyond that number he would have to release them from his field and target another. However, if there are five or more in his field he can still only target four by choice and no more. Once his targets have been selected their abilities/aura are distorted, meaning they have either become weaker or become distorted and unpredictable if not a bit difficult to control. This skill is activated with his sword stabbing the ground once, allowing his aura to transfer to the ground, without a blade he may use his body as a focal point. | Recoil This skill goes hand and hand with Intermission. Upon distorting an individuals aura he has the ability to make it, based on his opponents skill, backfire. Intermission places a cap on their aura/power and by using Recoil it suddenly rips that cap off causing the power to overflow and implode on itself. Much like an overflowing water pipe that has just busted its bolts lose and floods. It is a sudden burst of uncontrolable power contained by one vessel, the user. This is triggered when Linny makes contact with an individual by touch or stabbing into their body with his own aura. |

There where many things in life that made people stop and debate their life choices. One could be when they are lost and unsure about their current situation. Another might be when the wondered how in the world they managed to get where they where at. For Linny, he could give two shits less about how he got somewhere as long as he reached his destination. Why worry about things that where out of control when you could just pick up your own bottom and move? It wasn't that difficult and so he had to wonder, for this reason, why his younger brother was currently asleep in the stables.
Surely, it was far more comfortable to rest in a bed then a bundle of hay and pieces of it sticking into his back. The King shook his head at his mirror image and tapped him lightly with his foot. The other pinkette only muttered in his sleep and shoved the King's foot away. Linnaeus chuckled, "Going to sleep all day with the horses huh? Figures." Shaking his head he turned away from his twin to look at the horses. His brother seemed to always love coming out here to see them while on the other hand, Linny was not a fan of horses. They were large beast that where broke into being servants for humans. But he could see it in their black eyes that if one person slipped up they would trample over his happy ass.
They would do a wonderful little bone shattering dance and run away from their master, laughing the whole time. Horses could be evil son of a bitches and this is why Linny chose not to ride one unless he had too. He preferred walking or finding something else to carry him through town or across country. Like say a wagon, now those where safe! If the horses decided to be murderous beast then he could cut them loose and be done with them.
Reaching into his shirt, he pulled out a bit of tobacco and rolled it on a thin piece of paper, licked it closed and lit it by an open lantern. Inhaling deeply, he slowly let the smoke out and came around to a brown horse that was stabled near his brother. He stared it dead in the eyes silently for a long moment. Finally, he spoke to the beast in a daring voice, almost challenging. "I swear I will run my blade into your chest if you try to dismount me. I will not be trampled by a dumb animal such as you. My brother calls you a "Noble Steed" but I call you dinner." Tapping the ashes against the stall door he and the beast stared at one another in silence. The horse waited for just the right moment to move forward, nyah, and slam its body into the stable door. Linny stood there with wide eyes and half debated on running away to his twin but he had an image to uphold. Someone might be watching and so he stood there and closed his eyes. Cursing the beast for freaking the hell out of him. The creature couldn't get out of its pin. With courage, he blew smoke into the beast face. "Don't test me."
Off to side he caught the sounds of laughter. Slowly, he turned towards his twin who was staring up at him from the hay. He looked as peaceful as a child and grinning ear to ear. "You are so full of it, Linny. That horse is gonna to get'cha!" He raised his hands up to make a monster grabbing motion. But the older twin was not amused by this and kicked up a bit of hay at his brother who only laughed louder.
"You're more endearing when your asleep." He stated simply and headed out of the barn with his brother wrestling himself free from the hay to run after his twin. "And you're much too serious!" He declared, stumbling out after Linny.
