SOME LEGENDS ARE TOLD It had been 9 years in total since she had last stepped into the territory of Chrysos. The last time had been when her family estate had burned down and Athena and her father had fled the city. They had since lived in Piros and hadn't looked back at the beaming city they had left. Athena however, had come back to find work among the shinning city. Nobles here had money to buy whatever they wanted and as a metal worker she could make whatever they wanted as well as fix what they had. Finding herself at the end of a shift, the tavern was the best place to relax. The disguised woman pushed up her fake glasses upon her face and played with her hair that she had let down for the trip. There was no way she could let people find out who she was. A bleith, or that she was planning on hosting a rebellion against the mistreatment of the strain. In the end all that mattered was that she wasn't noticed by anyone that would or could know who she was. The later was more terrifying than the first. Nobles were easy to forget, and she knew that her father's name had all but been soiled upon his grave because of what she was. The woman adjusted her dress slightly and itched at her eye, as the green contacts that were in bothered her. She hated the stupid things, as they made it really hard to see straight, but she had to make sure to be completely undercover. Finally the drink she had ordered came and she sipped at it casually. All kinds of feelings and emotions came from her as she stepped foot upon this place. She wondered if anyone still remembered the small child that had once played and learned on this land. Yet she knew the truth, no one would care to remember her because she had been disgraced because of her heritage and she had dragged her father down with her. It was however someone else that entered the tavern that caught her attention from behind the brim of her glasses. A man that she hadn't seen in those same nine long years.. was it really? Athena didn't know what to feel as her breath caught in her through. It was wasn't it.. that was her old tutor, not the one that had sold her out.. but the one who had taught her books and literacy. The clan leader's sister, Anise, had requested him to learn how to use the sword. And since Lucifer really wasn't the fighting type that left him as one of the only options that the girl had left. So, Ryune had agreed to meet the girl on the boarder of Piros where he could teach her without much interruption. The blackette had been up quite early that morning in preparation grabbing his blade.
Since he had too much time before he was actually supposed to meet the girl. A part of him wondered if it was a good idea to actually teach the much younger girl about swordplay. She was only eighteen, but it was true that she would need to defend herself in case something happened. So after scouring through the city of Piros and picking up a few things he finally made his way to the outskirts of town where he was meant to meet Anise.
There was one thing he wouldn't allow however, and that was if the girl was late. If he set a time out of his schedule he expected the person to be there when he said. Ryune found himself leaning against a tree towards the edge of city waiting for the girl. He was a bit early, but in his motto it was always better to be early than later. In the way he saw things was the earlier you were there the sooner things could get started.

She however, can not stand people that mistreat others or have something against strain. If you aren't one of these two, its probably ten times out of ten that you can be considered a friend to Athena. Just don't be confused between her thinking of you as a friend and telling you her deepest secrets. To get that deep Athena has to really trust you.. and that takes hard work. enemies [attr="class","scrolly"]As mentioned in the friend section, Athena has very few enemies. These enemies are anyone who mistreats others or has a thing against strain. If Athena catches you doing either of these two you are instantly slated as a enemy in her book. While she is all about second chances it is rather hard for her to forgive you if you have done one of these things. You have to work really hard to fix it in this case. lovers [attr="class","scrolly"]As Athena's main time is given to her resistance, she really isn't looking for someone to love. That being said, she isn't against becoming close to someone but be prepared that she probably wont be able to give whoever she ends up with all of her time. She is addicted to her mission, and it will be super difficult to set her sights on something else. THE RIGHTEOUS SWORD CHAOTIC GOOD ● STRAIN ● NONE  Athena was born in the noble city of Chrysos, to a noble father and no mother. From a young age the girl was told that her mother had died giving birth to the girl, and she was content to live with such as the answer. As the child of a noble, a young Athena received everything she ever wanted and like her father was one day destined to learn the families ways of swordplay. Her father had served in the army during his days and he expected Athena to follow in his own path.
While the beginning years were spent studying politics, Athena found herself always sneaking off to be outside. She found no love in politics as much as she wished to be outside and getting her hands dirty. Being a woman however, she would be best suited as being literate than wielding a blade. As the only heir to her family however, her father finally gave in and gave the young child what she wanted, lessons with a sword.
A tutor was brought in and Athena was taught the rules and ways of swordplay. Unlike the politics lessons, Athena never missed a session and quickly learned how to make up for the brute strength of a man, with the speed of her small form and how to absorb attacks better and how to predict what the opponent would do. At the age of ten she had gotten to the point that her tutor and her could spar with real weapons for several hours without having to take a break.
Athena's father found it nice to watch his daughter excel in something that he loved and would spar with her when her tutor couldn't. The happiness Athena felt during these years was something she would remember for as long as she lived, but this happiness was not to last. At the age of thirteen something would happen to change her life forever. During a training with her tutor she had missed a block and instead of the tutors sword hitting her it missed because she willed it to miss.
At first, the two thought nothing of it, but Athena was curious and she tried it again, and this time was able to completely throw her opponents blade aside. It was not something that could be covered up this time, as her tutor realized what had just happened. It was then that everything would change, her tutor realizing that she was in fact a strain, having abilities without a clan.
Athena's father quickly tried to clear his daughter have doing anything, but in the nobility word rose fast and quickly everyone was questioning her father. Questioning Athena, and more importantly questioning just who the girls mother was. This became so bad that the families estate was attacked on more than one occasion and one time the two barely escaped with their lives.
At the age of sixteen, Athena was forced to leave the home she knew as a little girl with her father and watch as the estate burned behind her. The two fled Chrysos and quickly found refuge hiding in Pirsos, where no one would know who they were. They had very little to their name, other than her father's precious sword and a few other trinkets. Starting a new life was difficult, but her father made a living making weaponry and armor.
As Athena grew, she too learned how to make metal and quickly became quite the metalworker. Her gift, while hidden, allowed her to take the most precious of materials and keep as much as she could for the best weapon and armor that people could buy. With this uncanny ability, her and her father became quite known as metalworkers and soon enough people were coming from places outside of Pirsos to have their work, or rather Athena's work, done.
At the age of nineteen, Athena would come to find that her father was sick and the medicine he needed was not something they could afford making metal. At this point, Athena took her father's sword and found herself making money fighting in tournaments and getting real battle experience outside of what she knew. While she lost some of these street battles, her own experience allowed her to win every now and again. The more she fought the better she became until very few could oppose her.
By the time she had made enough to get her father's medicine however, she woke to find her father had passed in his sleep the day before her twenty first birthday. Athena found it hard to stay where she had lived with her father and packing up only the essentials she left after burying her father. It was during these transfer years that Athena began to realize the anger that burned inside her.
When people realized what she was they hated her so she had to hide, her father had died because of what she was and this drove her crazy. At the age of twenty three.. the comeback began. Athena decided that she wanted this to stop and to be able to do that she would need help. She began to rally any strain she could giving them strong words about how they should be treated.
Leading them, in the front of every retaliation, she fought to free imprisoned strain from their owners. While she never did so to huge armies to fight back, the word of a small rebellion has been forming on the wind. While Athena doesn't want to put those of her kind in any true danger, she knows that unless they fight nothing will change..
and she is willing to risk her life for freedom.

Magnetism
Athena's ability as a strain. She has the ability to control certain metals within a certain distance of her. When a metal is withing touching distance it is much easier for her to move and she can throw it farther. When the metal is far away from her she has little to no control over it and can barely make it move if at all. This is given in about a ten meter radius, objects within five meters become rather easy to control while objects beyond that are harder and those outside that boundary can not be controlled at all. This also allows her to strengthen metal, or weaken it to her aid. However, she can not change the state of a metal without injuring herself. An example is she can not change a metal from a solid to a liquid without causing her nose to bleed or other repercussions. Overuse of her ability will eventually cause her to tire out, and generally she can only use the ability for a max of thirty minutes before starting to feel the strain on her body and the beginning of exhaustion.
| Liquid Metal
With much concentration as a part of Athena's strain, she can manipulate the liquid form of metal. This is much more difficult than with solid metal and she must be right next to, or touching, the object in question. Her control of liquid metal becomes less controllable the more other liquids are mixed with it. This way, she can not control the metal within the human body, since there are so many other liquids mixed with it. However, if the human has a lot of metal in their body.. it is possible to control it, if Athena is touching the individual.

There wasn't much she had ever asked for in her life, happiness was one of those things. Yet, whenever she had felt the touch of happiness, it was never to last as it was dragged right out from under her before she could even so much as grasp at it in her hands. Athena had lived her life since her father had died for not just herself but for those around her that were like her. For people that had craved happiness but had been denied it because of what they where.
It sickened Athena that people could be so cruel to those that were different, but that was how the world was. What you weren't was what you were taught to fear. That didn't make Athena any more happy of the world though, people should have enough common sense that everything wasn't solved by violence or simply eradicating everything in your path. If only a peaceful solution was available for them, yet peace so far had brought nothing but the suffering of people like her.
Bright blue hues slowly opened as the woman found herself inside a small shop her chin propped up on one hand as she glanced out the window at the sun falling from the sky and it light up in all colors of the sun. Perhaps this was the most relaxing time for the woman as she thought about what was next in her plans. Even now she was forced to hide as a normal person among them. A simple dress, contacts, a new hairstyle, unable to carry her fathers broadsword and little to no weapons whatsoever.
'Maam are you ready to order?' a female came to her table a small pen and pad in her hand. Athena was brought out of her thoughts as she gave a kind smile to the woman. "What do you suggest?" she asked with a soft voice. She had to remember to leave her stern and controlling voice back with the rebellion she was hosting, it was best used there and not out here. 'Hmm.. I guess this' she pointed out a recent special that Athena didn't find so appealing.
"Alright then, I guess I can try something new." her words spoke flawless as she handed the menu back to the woman before her. If only the world would look at everyone as a menu. The chance to accept something new, and the ability to adapt to what you needed no matter the situation. The woman quickly nodded and walked away, as Athena turned her head back to look at the fallen sun.

She mostly wears this symbol to remind herself what she's fighting for. That being said her metal work is rather talented as she learned it mostly from her father and from her strain ability. She will often let down her hair and wear contacts so that her eyes are green instead of blue. In this form she goes by the name Mia and will sell wherever she can, even to the empire that she despises. » REVENGEWhile Athena swears that none of this is for revenge, she has a deep hatred for the people that ruined her and her father's lives that eventually led to his death. She fights for those like her in need, but at the deepest part of her heart she has a deep hatred for anyone in the empire that look down upon the strain.
