Okay, so I'm sure that by now my slowness has been noticed, so I thought I'd offer an explanation. University started back up for me last week and I'm still trying to get used to my new schedule, leaving me without much time or muse for RP. Don't worry guys, Alex (and his abs) are still here! I'm just gonna need a while before I'm back in full swing again.

Though some might have considered it to be an insult to their sense of morality, Alexander had been asked by many over the years whether or not he was a part of the Purple Clan. He seemed to have a fitting mind for the part, considering his unapologetic love of playing with people for his own amusement. He seemed to enjoy toying with different combinations of words and gestures of the body, seeing what effects they had upon others around him. To create an example, he looked down at the courtesan to see how he reacted to being spoken to in the language of the gypsies and was pleasantly surprised to note that he had happened upon a verbal sweet spot. Whether fortunately or unfortunately was in the eye of the beholder, but no, Alexander could not claim to be of the clan that specialized in mind games. He simply enjoyed playing with words and observing the effects thereof, such as the courtesan coyly beckoning him along. Grabbing his sword, Alexander made to follow before noticing a young man looking at him with mixed awe and envy. Though he looked away swiftly, Alexander simply smiled and reached into a hidden pocket. He knew that particular expression anywhere, and at the moment decided that he could lend aid to a man in need on his first trip to a brothel. After retrieving one of his small pouches, he tossed it to the boy and slid the remaining wine to him. "Liquid courage for you. Gems for the courtesans. Good luck my friend." At that point, Alexander simply winked at the open mouthed youth and followed his own courtesan as he made his way towards the rooms. On his way there, he simply passed a few more smiles and winks as he noticed the jealous looks his company was receiving. All too soon or perhaps too late, that fun ended as the two made their way into a dimly lit hall that held the bedrooms. Alexander paused just behind his friend for the evening, who seemed to be pausing for some reason that he did not care to think about. Ah, but the alcohol in his system was beginning to spread and actually take something of an effect, if the growing warmth in his veins had anything to attest. Laughing quietly, Alexander slipped his arms around the waist of his moarte frumoasă and hugged him from behind. He was completely aware of the fact that his expanding manhood was rubbing up against the courtesan's backside, but he was quite uncaring considering what would be happening behind a closed door quite soon. "Având îndoieli?" Planting a light kiss along the man's neck, Alexander spoke in a teasing voice directly into his ear. Walking forward, Alexander gripped the door handle and pushed it open casually with his finger before stepping aside like a proper gentleman escorting a date. "Daca nu se tem, vin." Alexander still used the same teasing voice, gesturing for the courtesan to enter. After all, he had no idea that the room belonged to another that he knew quite well. ▲

r w The bartender was not long gone before another came to sit nearby to Alexander, specifically right next to him. In most cases, he might not have noticed, considering the fact that in taverns people happened to like to sit when they drink. A few things caused him to turn his head a few moments after the bartender went to go fill up the ale mugs. Firstly, the person next to him had red hair, something not entirely common in Raduga to begin with. Though not as uncommon as silver hair such as Alexander's, it might still have been worth a glance by itself. It would not however, have been worth Alexander's reaction of frowning as a feeling of deja vu scratched at his brain when the person sitting next to him ordered his ale. This feeling was the secondary cause of him turning about slightly to look at the person sitting next to him, curious as to whether he knew them from somewhere or somewhen. When Alexander had seen Aurora awake for the first time in centuries, he had given her a bear hug that had popped something in the area of her spinal cord in the same manner that someone popped the little bones present in the fingers. When he saw Lucille, he simply sat in his chair with his jaw dropped open slightly while his mind took its sweet time reloading. Could he possibly be so lucky as to find the Silver King and his brother Clansman not only within similar periods of time, but without even looking for them? Shifting his head slightly to get a better look, Alexander confirmed that this was in fact Lucille sitting next to him. The last time he had seen the man, he had been quite unconscious, very much similarly to Rayne herself. In which case, to see him up and about merited a very similar response to having seen the Silver King up and about. With that in mind, Alexander tapped Lucille on the shoulder and cleared his throat simultaneously, which was the only warning his fellow Clansman would receive before the Silver Knight picked him up out of his chair and gripped him like a human vice. "Lucille!" Alexander said with enthusiasm as he started to feel the spinal column pops that often came with his back-breaking bear hugs. "Andjustwherehaveyoubeenyouredhairedbastard?!" Were there going to be stares from this little event? Of course. Did Alexander particularly care at the moment? Of course not. ▲ for a surprise visit!

When he had first arrived, Alexander had wondered if the day would hold any entertaining surprises for him or if he would simply go through the glorious blue city without anything interesting occurring. Never had he been so amused after first returning to his country from another, nor did he think he would ever be quite so amused with a situation in the registration building again. Several things happened almost simultaneously: the door flew open with great force to reveal a man almost covered by a small mountain of what must have been paperwork, shouting presumably at Alexander himself just before noticing the turkey...which woke up the man in the chair as Alexander predicted by squawking loudly in his general direction...who then promptly caught the turkey by the neck and flung it out the nearest window with such great speed that a bystander might have wondered if he had even seen it. All of this had occurred within the same several seconds worth of time, and at the end of it all Alexander had to hold back laughter from roaring from his chest through his entire body. Instead he simply shook where he was from the force of the withheld laughter, releasing it in gasping bursts of mirth instead of the torrential force that it truly desired and deserved. His laughter faded eventually however, as all laughter must, with said event occurring concurrently with the man in the chair informing him that he had nice aim. "Years of practice, my friend, years of practice."
Perhaps centuries of practice was closer to the mark, but there was no particular need to bring up Alexander's long-time usage of his favored secondary weapon through the years. Bending down, Alexander started to pick up several papers and place them upon the man's desk, still smiling from his earlier contained laughter. "Oh, you know: the world decided to become all boring and civilized, or at least we grew to pretend we were civilized. If it makes you feel any better though, there is a quaint land on the other side of the sea wherein people settle affairs with duels and there is no paperwork to handle." Looking down at one of the papers, Alexander saw that it was a warrant for the arrest of a man accused of murder and simply turned it over. "Unfortunately that is not this land. Alexander." He said, sticking out a hand for the shaking, figuring that he might as well introduce himself while he was standing in the office of the Blue King, if he had understood 'Razy' correctly. ▲ to find a napping blue king?

| could my eyes be deceiving me...? | |
In hindsight, perhaps it was not Alexander's wisest move to immediately wrap both arms around Aurora and almost crack her spine cleanly in half. He could even feel the bones popping in her back, something that he personally found to be comfortable whenever it was done to him in the same way that others popped the bones in their hands and feet. Now, perhaps Aurora's plea to release her might have had an effect, but Alexander was not paying enough attention to truly hear the King's command. Instead he was busying himself by simply gripping harder and repeating her name in much the same manner as he had said it the first time. Though he did catch some of the amused glances that he was receiving from other men in the audience, and simply laughed and grinned back at them though he did not casually wink as some had done. Had Aurora not hit him, Alexander might well have released her within the next thirty seconds or so as the initial excitement left his system to be replaced by his usual calmness. Instead he dropped her slightly earlier than expected as the elbow impacted with his jawline, releasing the King onto her feet with a grin that was swiftly morphing from excited and happy to amused and feigning injury. "Damn, the Lady packs a punch in that tiny body."
Alexander said as he rubbed the spot where Aurora had hit him, speaking loudly enough that some in the audience nearby had a good laugh. In the midst of the laughter, Alex said in a quieter tone of voice that the audience could not hear: "It's good to see you again, Aurora. Though what are you doing here, and where are the rest of the Clan? Surely they're somewhere nearby?" Alexander was of the impression that certain members of the Silver Clan would probably stick to the King like white stuck to rice, similarly to how Arthur was always surrounded by at least half of the Silver Clan at all times simply because everyone enjoyed being nearby to their King. Of course, it was possible that the Clan had yet to be united again, but at least he had managed to find Aurora in that case. ▲ nope, that's definitely aurora.

Alexander's smile only widened at the golden-eyed courtesan's reaction to being called deadly, his assumption being that he had been understood slightly wrong. In the mind of the Black Blade, everyone within the area of Heaven's Embrace carried some form of danger either within themselves or somewhere on their person. Some people were deadly due to the information that they carried, some were rather capable with knives and other bladed weapons, some were skilled with poisons, and still others simply knew how to manipulate people...which was probably the most deadly skill of them all in his opinion. He had apparently struck onto some form of truth however, even if by accident and so simply decided to accept that piece of information and roll with whatever happened to come of it. Perhaps it would have been kinder to inform his new friendly acquaintance of his line of thought, but it was much more entertaining to watch his reaction. Of course, all good things had to come to an end, and the surprise of the moment faded in the presence of the fire that was within the glass. In its place, the courtesan regained a fine control and made a show of tracing a line along Alexander's body. While he did so, Alexander simply stood still and allowed the man to trace his musculature to his heart's desire. While not obnoxious concerning his body, the Black Blade was understandably prideful when it came to his toned physique. After all, he could tell even without turning around that there were plenty of patrons who were not quite as...disciplined as he was. Within short order, his new friend reappeared with a new smile and a question that brought a new bit of heat to Alexander's body that had little to do with alcohol. Whereas he might normally have hidden his expression behind a faint layer of amusement coupled perhaps with disinterest, to do so in this place and at such a time as this would simply be pretending to an asinine degree. There was no need to play the hero in Lilla, which was why Alexander appreciated the city more than most. Whereas the Silver Knight and Alexander Di Mandulis could be virtuous almost to the degree of being holier than thou, the Black Blade cared little for opinions other than his own and often did not bother with masks. Thus even though the amusement was still present, there was also an unmistakable hint of lust. "The game is simple, moarte frumoasă." Alexander said rising from his seat such that he and Hessat were almost face to face. It had been some time since he had spoken the language that now rolled from his tongue, but he did not particularly require linguistic mastery for his current purposes. "Dacă eu sunt calul întuneric...călări." As he had spoken, Alexander had steadily gotten closer to Hessat such that he had leaned in to whisper the last word. Perhaps it was the business of the tavern's staff to play the role of the whisperers, but Alexander had always felt that it was somewhat lazy to leave the wordplay solely to the courtesans. ▲ Come, let's make fun happen

| It's amazing, the things you can find... | |
Ah, the honorable and noble profession of the bounty hunter. If prostitution was the world's oldest profession, then bounty hunting was probably somewhere not far behind. As long as man had been walking and talking, it had probably been killing. The only problem was the fact that not everyone had the proper strength, dexterity, skill, bravery, or luck to kill everyone else. Therefore people who did possess the requisite abilities simply began to kill people for those who could not kill for themselves, for a nominal fee of course. Thus was one of Alexander's favored professions born unto the world. Oh yes, hunting people for money was one of the favored duties of the man who was once referred to as the Silver Knight. Perhaps not entirely knightly of him, but then again it had been some time since he had been the man who had once borne that name. He had held several duties that he had not expected over the years, some filled with great valor and virtue while others would have caused people to go wide-eyed in surprise and perhaps the faintest bit of revulsion. It just so happened to be that bounty hunting was one of his favorites among those. It was mobile work, such that one was hardly ever truly bored with it; the schedule of the work was up to the hunter unless a limitation of time was imposed on the mark, unlike the grueling work of craftsmen who were forced onto time schedules for crafting and selling their wares; and it was reliable work that could be found anywhere. Beyond that, it was something that Alexander was good at and had been good at for quite some time, therefore it was his typical go-to job when he needed a quick burst of currency. The need of currency was not necessarily what had dragged him to the bounty board this time however, at least not entirely. At the moment, he was simply seeing how plentiful the board was, gauging the potential market in a sense. There were others around, though he was for the most part paying them little attention. He was as well armed as any of them and better armed than most, so he doubted that there would be trouble for him so long as he did not seek it. Though there was apparently conversation, which was always welcome. "Oh, I'm just here browsing a bit. Gotta keep up to date on who wants whom captured or executed, you know? What about yourself?" Alexander said without turning around for the moment, as he had seen something particularly interesting just in front of him. ▲ Even when they aren't expected.

At first, the bartender merely nodded and moved to fulfill Alexander's request, a reflexive action considering the amount of times that she must have acquiesced to similar requests each and every day. With nothing of particular interest to keep his attention, Alexander's mind would have simply drifted into the void until his drink arrived. Instead, he found himself looking at the server with a slightly bemused expression, as her expression shifted from the mask-like face that servers commonly wore well into their working days into a much more organic expression; it was the expression most commonly worn by those who were caught between the proverbial rock and hard place. Had she managed that state for a few more seconds, Alexander might have sighed and simply pointed at another drink instead to expedite the process of receiving a drink. As it was however, the bartender was spared her apparently agonizing decision by another: the very same man who had been drinking the drink that Alexander had originally pointed at. The man's question elicited a shrug, a simply movement of the shoulders that was accompanied by the slightest of smiles. Alexander had sampled so many different types of alcohol in the past couple of centuries that he had essentially lost caring for specifics when it came to what he imbibed. Though perhaps not the wisest course of action, it did most certainly provide a certain random element to what would otherwise become routine. It also apparently attracted entertaining bouts of luck and challenge to slither towards him. Not that he minded, a fact that he demonstrated clearly by pressing a finger to the bottom of the cup and lifting it gently. Alexander drank down the contents of the glass as though it had been water that was presented to him, even as he felt the fire expand within his torso in that magical way that he enjoyed so much. His storm cloud grey eyes never left the golden eyes of the man that had brought him the glass. When the cup was emptied and the glass lowered, Alexander smirked enough to match Hessat easily. "Perhaps it might have been dangerous had I not seen you drink first, exitialis pulchritudinis." With a nonchalant expression, Alexander turned the bottle about for a moment and made an 'ah' sound as he recognized the drink. "As is, I don't think there was anything more deadly in that cup than what's sitting in front of me right now." With that, Alexander poured out more of the amber fluid into the cup with an apparently practiced hand and held it out for his new friend to drink. "Care to play a little game?" He said without dropping a certain expression of amusement at the current happenings. ▲ Come, let's make fun happen

Alexander could hardly believe how surprisingly lucky he had been to find the Silver King on his first trip through the blue city of Ble. It had been how many centuries that he had waited for her to awaken, and then how many weeks he had expected for it to take for her to be located? Apparently fate had a sense of humor, for she had been practically waiting at the docks. Now that he had assured himself of the existence of the current Silver King, Alexander could permit himself to simply relax and enjoy his time in his homeland of Raduga. Heaven already knew that he would hardly ever leave it again except for to go on expeditions or official errands for his King. No, he had spent far too much time away from home, and now was going to finally set up a permanent base of operations for himself somewhere within the country. For the moment however, he resided in a tavern and frequented other taverns quite often. His favorite establishments to find entertainment of course being in the notorious purple city of Lilla, though this was no surprise considering the fact that Lilla held everyone's favorite taverns and similar places of entertainment. Alexander was himself currently striding into the Maverick's Tavern, perhaps the most well known of all establishments of its type. He required celebratory ale, and this was most definitely the first place that had come to his mind in pursuit of the elusive drink. He had not brought Dusk with him this time, storing it in a well-hidden area within his bedroom. There was no particular need to carry a sword everywhere he went, though Alexander did still carry quite a few throwing knives as a precaution. He was quite relaxed now that he was back home, but he was no fool. Taking a seat at the bar of Maverick's Tavern, Alexander simply requested an ale and waited for his poison to arrive. ▲ for a surprise visit!
