THE ILLUSORY RAVEN CHAOTIC NEUTRAL ● CLANSMAN ● PURPLE CLAN  from the beginning, syeira remembered a lack of affection within his household. their lives seemed to teeter on the edge of a knife, balancing precariously as the years accumulated; however, he could not recall the moments of peace and tranquility that existed before their fall from grace. the ravenette merely recalled his parents as almost virtual strangers that frequented their chosen adobe. as residents of piros, they constantly hunted for shelter and supplies, forcing eira to gain survival skills at an early age. one vivid memory included watching as two men beat each other to death in an attempt to claim a ragged blanket, and when the fight ceased, he grabbed the object and ran away, fleeing to the relative safety of his mother’s side. the blanket became his baby sister’s favorite possession despite the circumstances behind his acquisition of the item.
however, the blackette hated piros. he loathed the decrypt buildings and wanted to escape from his family. he felt chained to them as his siblings needed his assistance, and his mother dissolved into panic attacks when left on her own. syeira could never obtain peace. he was constantly searching for something or assisting someone. the teen despised the neediness displayed by his family, repulsed by them and unwilling to continue spending time with them. to be fair, eira enjoyed spending time with his siblings, finding solace in their innocence and inwardly reveling in their admiration and trust. his siblings deferred to him for guidance as he acted in a manner reminiscent of an authority figure. he took care for them and provided for them, sacrificing himself for them, and his parents lacked the selflessness to mimic him, looking after themselves and themselves along.
syeira eventually decided that he lacked the patience needed to remain in piros. he left, leaving a note for his siblings and setting out toward lilla. the dark haired youth did not know where his path would lead and lacked the capability to make assumptions about his future. he merely needed to escape from the chains that his family wrapped around his petite frame; he did not have the strength necessary to continue protecting them. however, in his flight from piros, eira never expected to see his family again. he abandoned them, but when he received word of his parents’ demise, he welcomed his siblings into his home, accepting them with a faint upturn of his lips and with a warm meal.
after arriving in lilla, syeira found his future. he joined the purple clan and eventually became a reputable escort and world renowned assassin, but regardless of his success in life, his siblings doubted his ability to maintain relationships—platonic or romantic. they attempted to con him into relationships, sending him on random dates with women in lilla and eventually deciding that he was fated to marry rayne hermes—a enigmatic woman that lived with the local fortune teller. eira could not deny his siblings and constantly surrendered to them, leaving himself open to public criticism and embarking upon many awkward adventures with strangers. in a sense, he obtain his ideal existence though he maintained an apathetic and cynical nature, leading people to wonder whether he found true happiness or not.

as an assassin, syeira developed a fondness of hiding himself within the shadows; however, shadows can be finicky and fickle. they exist due to the sun, yet he wanted to utilize them for his own purposes. his obsession with the shadows eventually morphed into his signature skill, which involves creating shadows that wrap around his figure like a cloak. essentially, the cloak itself does not have to be shadows as his illusions can replicate the scenery around him, but he finds it easier to use shadows as his basis. | raven's dance
if he feels threatened, syeira will utilize his surroundings to his advantage. by utilizing his skills in illusions, he turns small pieces of parchment into ravens, keeping them afloat with his aura and utilizing them as a distraction. the ravens will caw obnoxiously and surround his pursuers until syeira manages to flee. they tend to dissipate into ashes once he reaches the five feet mark, leaving only the original scraps of paper in their wake. |
